Executive Summary

The project developed a dengue modeling, analysis, exploration, visualization, surveillance, and response toolset, titled Dengue View, for whole of Pakistan by employing robust and accurate dengue epidemiological models with real-time inference and pre-planning capabilities. Dengue-View is a suite of tools designed to facilitate the exploration of streaming spatiotemporal datasets that are being collected in real time from the emergency departments (EDs) of the partnering hospitals through the toolset developed in this project. The system is playing a vital role during dengue epidemic outbreaks and helps efficient use of the scarce resources of the government and the hospitals. Dengue-View is allowing real-time monitoring of health care conditions related to dengue epidemic in collaboration with the partnering hospitals and the various levels of the provincial and regional SERCs.
