ITCN Asia Conference and Exhibition 2009

National ICT R&D Fund actively participated in the 9th ITCN Asia Conference and Exhibition. ITCN Asia is one of the biggest IT & Telecom events of Pakistan which has grown from country event to a regional event during the past 9 years and is organized by Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan.

9Th ITCN Asia was inaugurated by Federal Secretary of IT & Telecom, Mr. Naguibullah Malik along with President PTCL, Mr. Walid Irshaid and other local and foreign delegates.

This year the event was held between 11- 13 August 2009 in Karachi with a significant presence of powerful IT brands of the world which showcased their state-of-the-art products and services, offering the user community a wide range of technology and solutions under one roof.

ITCN Asia Conference and Exhibition plays a pivotal role in projecting the image of Pakistan on the world IT map. The event is an exquisite blend of Public-Private-Partnership and boasts of attracting the largest number of domestic and international trade visitors of IT & telecom products/services. The companies through this event are provided an opportunity to introduce and promote their respective brands.

National ICT R&D Fund from the platform of Federal Ministry of IT & Telecom introduced itself to potential researchers in the field of Information and Communication Technology to get funding opportunities for concrete and well structured research projects. Some of the delegates were highly impressed by the initiatives of the government for research and development work in ICT field. They were also very appreciative of the quality of research work that has been funded from National ICT R&D Fund.

This forum provided a platform for foreign and local delegates to come together and explore business and investment opportunities and enhance the country’s image in the IT world.
